In 2009 the activities took place in nautical ports (marinas) in Montenegro, and achieved a significant increase in traffic of vessels and passengers. In the port of Kotor arrived 262 foreign cruisers, which is 9.38% higher than the previous year, with 74,177 tourists on board, as much as 39.94% compared to the 2008th year.
By flying the flag under which the structure of ships that sailed the waters of the Montenegrin 2009th year was as follows: Malta - 70, Bahamas - 40, Belgium - 34, Croatia - 24, Portugal - 21 France - 15, Luxembourg - 12, Marshall Islands - 12, Greece - 10, Panama - 7 and others.
During 2008,in the port of Kotor arrived 228 cruisers with 52,739 passengers on board.
During the 2007 arrived 202 cruisers with 48,161 passengers on board.
Report on foreign arrivals of cruise ship is sent monthly to the Bureau of Statistics of Montenegro on the provided statistical models and are used for the analysis of activities as an element of creating the development of nautical tourism in Montenegro. This type of tourism each year tends to increase.
